Parole board to meet murdered Jill's husband
THE chair of an Australian parole board has offered to meet the husband of Jill Meagher, after he branded them cowards over failing to respond to him.
Dubliner Tom Meagher had penned an angry email to the Victoria Adult Parole Board after they failed to answer his correspondence asking for details on how convicted rapist Adrian Ernest Bayley was released early from prison.
Bayley was on parole when he raped and strangled 29-year-old ABC radio employee, who was originally from Co Louth.
It was previously revealed the board had been warned about Bayley's behaviour five times in the year before he killed Ms Meagher.
