Two men questioned over the murder of a 41-year-old Latvian during a row at his home have been charged in relation to his death.
The body of father-of-one Gints Intenbergs was found lying on the floor of the kitchen in his rented house at Graigueowen estate, on the outskirts of Tullow, Co Carlow, on Tuesday.
Officers arrested an Irishman in his 50s in Carlow town and a Latvian in his 30s in Tullow and they were taken to Carlow garda station for questioning. They were both charged yesterday evening and will appear before Carlow District Court at 10.30am.
Further searches were carried out yesterday after gardai were granted permission to extend two crimes scenes, at Mr Intenbergs' house and at Shaw Park in Carlow, where one of the men was detained.
