A MOTHER has revealed how she too was preyed upon by jailed sex offender Anthony Luckwill, who targeted her in an online discussion group about autism.

The Co Tipperary mother revealed she had reported the sex offender to gardai in December 2010 – several months before he went on to sexually assault two young boys that resulted in a four-and-a- half-year jail term this week.

Anthony Luckwill (40), with an address in Navan, Co Meath, was jailed after posing on the internet as a casting agent for TV programmes.

The woman, who asked to be identified only as Marguerite, revealed prior to this in 2010 she had encountered Luckwill through a discussion on autism on a Facebook page.

The mother said she "felt like screaming" and queried why had he been able to go on and sexually assault two boys after she had reported him to gardai.

"He asked me about my son's underwear, what kind of underwear did he like to wear," she told Today FM's 'Ray D'Arcy Show'.

After discovering his criminal history, she phoned gardai.
