BOOKMAKERS Paddy Power apologised and blamed human error for an embarrassing slip when it retweeted a Twitter user who asked if they could bet on player heart attacks during the Premier League clash between Manchester City and Manchester United.

The tweet on Twitter was described by users as "shocking", "appalling" and "absolutely disgraceful".

It followed the near death of Bolton Wanderers' Fabrice Muamba in March when he suffered a cardiac arrest in front of thousands of fans during the FA Cup game against Tottenham Hotspur.
