REGISTRATIONS for the controversial €100 household charge continue to trickle in bringing the total to 900,392, new figures show.
The figures include 183,500 postal commitments that have yet to be processed, according to the Local Government Management Agency.
About 1,000 of the registrations came after the May 31 deadline after which penalties of €10 apply as well as 1pc interest.
Over 900,000 households have now registered to pay the €100 household charge, latest figures show.
The lion’s shares of the registrations continue to be made online accounting for 73pc.
Many of the applications are for multiple properties.
Last week it emerged that one landlord paid the charge for 190 properties.
Despite the registrations hitting over 50pc of those liable, unless the full €160m expected figure is raised local authorities face a gap in funding.
