Our top rugby players as you’ve never seen them before – only in Lineout magazine

Welcome to the sixth edition of Lineout, the bi-annual men's sports and lifestyle magazine is published free of charge with the Irish Independent today and there's a wealth of content to be enjoyed in the magazine and unique digital content and videos available online.

Our cover boy, Leinster's Ian Madigan makes no secret of his determination to wear the No 10 jersey. Ian is a rising star – even his hair has its own fan club – and we filmed 24-year-old ‘Madser’ as he was photographed by Mark Nixon. Ian withstood everything we threw at him, from outfit changes to a cook-off with team mate Fergus McFadden and there was even a game of golf with his dad Michael thrown in.

And speaking of golf, we filmed Jonny Sexton and he confessed he had a quick look at the golf courses in Paris before he moved to Racing Metro.

We always knew Irish winger Tommy Bowe liked the number 15 but this month it takes on a whole new meaning when the Monaghan man launches  XV Kings, his brand new clothing range. Tommy achieved record viewing figures for his 'Bodycheck' health documentary earlier this year and Lineout got an exclusive preview of his new clothing range when we went to Belfast to film the Lions hero with his Ulster team mate Michael Allen.

The camera just loves Love/Hate newcomer Aaron Heffernan. We got up early one Saturday morning to film the 23-year-old working out in the gym with his vigilant trainer, his eldest brother Simon.

Go behind the scenes of our rugged fashion shoot in the Burren which was styled by Colm Corrigan, fresh from working on the American Vogue shoot in Co Kerry.

We captured Leinster captain Leo Cullen enjoying falconry at Ashford Castle. W get up close and personal with Munster's Donnacha Ryan and caught up with Munster captain Peter O'Mahony and team mate Conor Murray in Dublin after they were named as Style Ambassadors for Life Style Sports.

The new Movember Ambassadors, MMA fighters Chris Fields and John Kavanagh, were captured before they had their Mos trimmed. Today marks the start of Movember and good luck to all taking part in the campaign partnered by Gillette.
