1 Andy Black Dublin-based Andy is known as 'The Monk', due to being a devout Buddhist. He grew up in Belfast during troubled times where his mother taught him poker. He studied Law at Trinity College. Winnings: $4.38m (€3m)

2 Jude Ainsworth Graduated from NUI Galway with a PhD in Biochemistry in 2008 and has been playing poker for a living since. Winnings: $4m (€2.7m)

3 Marty Smyth Belfast-based Marty honed his skills in small-stake games with pals in university before turning pro. Winnings: $3.82m (€2.6m)

4 Padraig Parkinson Dublin-based Parkinson has turned his hand to broadcasting as well as doing a lot of charity work for the homeless. Winnings: $1.62m (€1.1m)

5 Fintan Gavin

Galwayman runs a bus-hire business and organises poker tournaments around Ireland. Winnings: $1.6m (€1.1m)
