Orange Weather Warning issues as 115km/h winds and heavy rain to batter country tomorrow

MET Eireann has this evening issued an Orange Weather warning as the country looks set to be battered by strong winds and heavy rain throughout tomorrow.

Leinster will be worst hit by the winds, with southerly winds reaching 70km/h in most areas, with gusts up to 115km/h possible in some exposed areas.

Heavy rainfall will also develop on Monday morning, with up to 40mm expected to fall in some areas.

Munster, Connacht and the northwest will be worst hit by the rain, however no areas will be spared.
