Only one in eight have faith in Minister Reilly - poll reveals
EMBATTLED Health Minister Dr James Reilly's numerous controversies have taken its toll on his support among the public with only one in eight people thinking he is doing a good job, a new poll shows.
A significant seven out of 10 voters are not satisfied with Dr Reilly's performance.
The Ipsos / MRBI poll for The Irish Times also shows Social Protection Minister Joan Burton is the most popular of a batch of a half dozen Cabinet ministers, even beating Finance Minister Michael Noonan.
Dr Reilly has the lowest satisfaction rating, with 70pc believing he is performing poorly.
The Health Minister came at the bottom of the list of ministers with just 13 per cent expressing satisfaction with his performance and 70 per cent saying they are dissatisfied.
Ms Burton scores the highest rating with 44pc satisfied with her performance and 35pc not She is the only minister whose satisfaction rating exceeds her dissatisfaction rating.
Surprisingly, the Labour Party deputy leader got a higher rating among Fine Gael voters, with a 70pc satisfaction rating, than she did with Labour supporters on 52pc.
