One person rushed to hospital with serious burns after fire

The Dungarvan and Cappoquin fire service have said that a fire that broke out at a commercial property on O'Connell Street in Dungarvan in Waterford just after 10am this morning has been brought under control.

The Gardaí and fire service attended the scene this morning, and worked until the blaze was put under control.

“The site has been cleared and the road is now back open,” Gardai told independent.ie

It is understood that one person has been taken to hospital with serious burn injuries. 

Gardaí have said it has not yet been established what caused the fire.
