GARDAI are investigating two separate assaults that took place outside well-known bars in Dublin City centre in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Sources told Independent.ie that a 34-year-old man “had a lump of flesh missing from his neck” after he was attacked and bitten outside a premises on Dame St.

It is believed the man returned home for a few hours after the incident and went to St James’s hospital for treatment in the morning.

Gardai say the man’s injuries are non-life threatening and no arrests have been made as investigations continue.

In a separate incident, a fight broke out outside Copper Face Jacks on Harcourt Street around 2:30am between two men aged 34 and 28.

One of the men (28) was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No arrests have been made.
