Number of visitors to arrears website triples
THE number of people visiting a state-operated website for those in mortgage arrears has more than tripled in just a year.
The website, keepingyourhome.ie is operated by the Money Advice and Budgeting Service and Citizens' Information Board and acts as the key online access portal for comprehensive mortgage arrears information.
In response to a written Dail question from Independent TD Stephen Donnelly, Minister for Social Protection Joan Burton confirmed that the website had 10,632 unique visitors – three times the 3,330 unique visitors to the website in June of last year.
According to Ms Burton, the number of visitors to the site was 7,477 in January; 6,971 in February; 8,661 in March; and 10,632 in April.
The pageviews on the website has increased from 18,968 last year to 64,774 in April.
She said that after the homepage of the site, the five most popular pages in April were: Overview: For Homeowners; Mortgage Arrears Resolution Process (MARP); Mortgage Arrears Information and Advice Service: Panel of Accountants; Overview: Problem Debt; Mortgage Arrears.
