Youth arrested in connection with fatal stabbing of Reece Cullen (16) released without charge

A juvenile arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of Reece Cullen was released without charge this evening.

Gardaí confirmed today that the youth was arrested in the Tallaght area today at 7am.

He was released without charge this evening.

A file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Reece Cullen (16) died on January 5, 2017 after he was attacked near his Dublin home.

The talented boxer, of Bawnlea Crescent, Jobstown, was rushed to Tallaght Hospital, where he later died as a result of his injuries.

A post-mortem examination determined that Reece suffered one stab wound to the heart when he was attacked.
