A 20-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after three men were stabbed in Belfast.

One victim, who is in his 20s, was found with stab wounds to his head when police arrived at a house in the York Park area, in the north of the city, in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Two other men, who are also in their 20s, were found nearby.

One underwent surgery for abdominal injuries while the other suffered a head injury and stab wounds to his neck, Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said.

All three men are said to be in a stable condition in hospital and officers are appealing for witnesses.

A PSNI statement said: "A 20-year-old woman was subsequently arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

"We would like to hear from anyone who was in the York Park area between 12.15am and 1.15am this morning and saw anything that could help us with our investigation."
