WATCH: Daredevil divers leap 25m into Atlantic by iconic Cliffs of Moher
These two daredevil cliff divers turned one of Ireland's most iconic locations into their playground, as they leaped from a helicopter into the Atlantic Ocean.
England's Blake Aldridge and Australian Rhiannan Iffland took part in the ultimate warm-up before this weekend's Red Bull cliff diving in Inis Mór.
The brave duo took turns leaping into the waters by the Cliffs of Moher from a distance of up to 25 metres. This was the athletes' first time diving by the famous cliffs, which were once featured in Harry Potter, which made former Olympian Aldridge a little nervous.
"You’re always nervous going to a location you haven’t been to and certainly, doing something like jumping out of a helicopter both me and Rhiannan are feeling the nerves a little bit," he said.
"Once you do something like this and then go over to the island for the competition, we’ll be pretty settled. I’m looking forward to the event on the weekend."
The 34-year-old athlete added that he got a "massive adrenaline rush" from the dive.
During this weekend's competition, 14 men and eight women will take to the air in pursuit of victory. The diving will be live streamed on Independent.ie and on redbullcliffdiving.com.
