WATCH: 'All aboard' - Dublin Airport passengers treated to spontaneous sing-song from Cork trad group
Passengers in Dublin Airport were treated to a special performance by an Irish band while they waited to board their plane on Saturday.
Cork-based band The Molgoggers burst into song at the 300 gates before flying out to perform at the the Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival.
They song the sang was one of their own called 'All Aboard', which is about Ireland's history of emigration from Cobh, the Cork town the band comes from.
he video was originally shared by Dublin Airport on their Facebook page, where it has been viewed more than 40,000 times and shared more than 150 times.
This is not the first time in recent weeks that Irish acts have entertained at an airport departure lounge.
Meath-based youth group Gluais treated those stuck in Charles de Gaulle Airport to two typically Irish songs to bring some smiles to the bored passengers.
Flights were delayed that evening so the group decided to perform some impromptu songs to keep the passengers and their children entertained," a spokeman for the group told Independent.ie.
The music and dance group, who were in Paris representing Ireland in the Irish Disney Festival, performed their own version of 'Paint the Town Green' and 'Oró Sé do Bheatha 'Bhaile'.
