Two men arrested as €830k in cash and car worth €50k seized in planned garda operation

Two men have been arrested as part of a garda operation in which almost €830,000 in cash was seized.

Gardai arrested the men, aged in their 30s and 40s respectively, in Naas, Co Kildare on Saturday, September 2.

A quantity of cash was seized during the course of the arrest totalling €829,265.

The men were detained at Naas Garda Station but have since been released and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

In a series of follow up searches in Sligo, Lucan and Kildare, gardai seized a car valued €50,000.
