Two men arrested after cannabis and cocaine worth €715k seized by gardai during west Dublin crime operation

TWO men have been arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking after drugs with a street value of €715,000 were seized by gardai in west Dublin.

Officers from the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau intercepted two vehicles in the Ballyfermot area yesterday evening.

The search was part of an intelligence led operation targeting organised crime in the west Dublin.

As a result of the interception, a number of follow up searches were conducted in the Ballyfermot and Lucan areas, where cocaine and cannabis herb with an estimated street value of €715,000 were seized.

Two men, aged 33 and 20, were arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking and are currently detained at Ballyfermot Garda Station.
