THE Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB) have seized two luxury cars as part of an ongoing investigation into a Dublin crime gang.
An Audi Q5 SUV, a Toyota Hi Lux Q CAB and documents were among the items seized in the latest searches across south and west Dublin.
The searches were conducted in five locations as part of an operation targeting assets acquired by the organised crime group involved in the sale and supply of controlled drugs.
Gardai said that the investigation is focused upon the ownership of property including houses and investment by the group into a gym in Dublin 24.
Today's searches, which were assisted by the Emergency Response Unit and the Customs Dog Unit, have been described as "significant developments" into the investigation, known as Operation Compact.
