Two arrested in connection with €150k drugs seizure
A man and a woman have been arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into drug dealing in north Dublin.
A total of €150,000 worth of cannabis has been seized in two separate searches by gardai from the Organised Crime Unit
Yesterday evening, a haul of €60,000 worth of cannabis was made when gardai stopped and searched a car on the N7, Clondalkin.
A man aged in his 30s was arrested at the scene and detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at Clondalkin Garda Station.
Later, during a follow up operation, cannabis with an estimated street value of €90,000 was seized at a house in Baldoyle.
A woman aged in her 20s was arrested at the scene and detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at Coolock Garda Station.
Both remain in Garda custody this morning.
