Three suspects were last night being held in relation to a massive firearms seizure linked to the Kinahan cartel.

The Dublin trio, who are all men aged in their 20s, were arrested at different locations in the capital.

One of the men was brought out of Cloverhill Prison.

Another suspect is from the Avondale Flats complex in the north inner city, the same place where feud victim Gareth Hutch was shot dead in broad daylight in May.

Officers from the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (DOCB) found the weapons in a vehicle in the Cabra area of Dublin on

November 5. No arrests were made at the time.

Massacre

The arsenal included two MP-9 machine guns, two silencers and three loaded Smith & Wesson handguns, as well as ammunition.

It later emerged that the weapons were to be used on a close business partner of Gerry ‘The Monk’ Hutch.

Gardai also investigated if the seized items were to be used in a Kinahan pub massacre of Hutch associates.
