Three charged after garda cars rammed
THREE men are due to appear in court charged in connection with a high-speed chase in which three gardaí were injured when two squad cars were rammed.
Gardai in Carlow arrested the men, all aged in their 20s, and they will appear before Kilkenny District Court this morning.
It follows an incident in which a car failed to stop for gardaí at a checkpoint on the N80 in Clonegal shortly before midnight on Saturday.
The car was followed by a number of units across Co Carlow before it rammed a garda patrol car on St Joseph's Road in Carlow town a short time later.
Three gardaí were injured during the incident and were taken to St Luke's Hospital in Kilkenny. They were later discharged.
