Three arrested as part of ongoing investigation into Joan Burton anti-water charge protest Newsdesk Newsdesk

A man and a woman have been arrested this morning in connection into an anti water charge protest last November.

A juvenile was also arrested in Tallaght this morning, which means there have been 20 arrests altogether this week

During the protest in Jobstown, Labour leader Joan Burton was trapped in her car for more than two hours.

The pair are currently being questioned under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

Their arrests bring to 19 the number of people arrested in relation to the investigation so far.
