Thousands of homes left without electricity after power outage
Thousands of customers were left without electricity after a power outage in North Dublin earlier this evening.
According to ESB Networks a fault at Grange Drive in Donaghmede has affected 3,263 customers in the Portmarnock area.
The power outage began shortly after 6pm and the power supplier estimated it would be resolved by 7.15pm. By 6.45pm power had been restored to approximately three quarters of customers.
In a notice, posted on the site, ESB said: "We apologise for the loss of supply. We are currently working to repair a fault affecting your premises and will restore power as quickly as possible."
