Teenage girl has vital medical equipment stolen during mugging
A teenage girl had her phone and insulin pump during a robbery last weekend.
The girl (16) had just gotten off a bus opposite Galway Cathedral at around 1.15am when she was mugged by a man.
Her insulin pump - a vital piece of medical equipment for people with diabetes - was stolen.
A Garda spokesman told Independent.ie: "At approximately 1.15 am on Saturday a female youth while exiting a bus had her phone and insulin pump taken by a male.
"Male fled the scene. This was reported to Gardaí in Galway at approximately 2pm that day. Investigations are ongoing."
