Suspects held in probe into the Real IRA
Anti-terrorist detectives have arrested three suspected members of a dissident republican unit.
Officers from the Special Branch made the arrests after a lengthy operation into fund- raising activities by the so-called Dublin "brigade" of the Real IRA terrorist faction.
The operation culminated in a swoop yesterday morning on a housing complex in the Lucan area of west Dublin.
During a search, gardai recovered electrical equipment, including laptop computers and TV sets and estimated to be worth about €50,000. The haul had been stolen during a robbery in the capital recently.
Following the find, officers detained three men.
