There will be celebrations in the South East as at least one lucky punter won more than €2m in Saturday’s National Lottery draw.

The winning numbers were 9, 18, 23, 27, 31, 38 and the bonus number was 30

The total jackpot prize was €2,578,134.

There were no winners of the Lotto Plus 1 or Lotto Plus 2 top prize.

The winning ticket was purchased in Spar, Ferrybank, Waterford City, Co. Waterford on Saturday, March 12 with an €8 Normal Play ticket.

A spokesperson for the National Lottery said that nobody has come forward yet to collect the prize.

This is the second time a customer in the Ferrybank shop scooped a major cash prize.

In August 2011, a lucky Brazilian duo from the South East won the EuroMillions Plus top prize of €500,000 after they purchased their winning ticket in the Waterford shop.
