A video purporting to show a young boy being encouraged to drink a glass of Guinness is being shared on social media.
he 38 second long piece of footage shows a pre-teen youth wearing a white shirt in what appears to be a noisy pub.
After putting down a toy car which he had been playing with, the boy begins to drink from the half pint glass, spilling some in the process.
The boy continues to drink from the glass without taking a break - and is encouraged to continue by a number of male onlookers.
"Go on, keep it going. Fair play to you boy," one man can be heard telling the boy as he looks into the camera.
Other comments heard on the video clip are "go on, you have it", "tip the glass", "go on son" and "all the way" until the boy finishing drinking what is in the glass.
When the glass is empty, the small group of men cheer and encourage the boy to put his thumb up to the camera.
Two years ago, a similar video purporting to show a young boy downing a pint of video emerged on the internet.
The video showed a young boy wearing a baseball cap, a gold chain and a vest saying, “I’m drinking this Guinness… lovely Guinness, yeah,” before taking a big slug of the drink and wiping his mouth.
After, he says, “Lovely Guinness boys - number 1,” before the video ends.
At the time, a spokesman for Alcohol Action Ireland that there was a child protection issue at hand and that the video shouldn’t be viewed for amusement.
