IT was all smiles at the start of a beautiful friendship when special guests from the LauraLynn Foundation and Special Olympics Leinster met up with the boys in blue for a behind-the-scenes tour of the rugby club’s facilities.

Leinster Rugby has announced that they are teaming up with the two charities in partnership for the season ahead.

Players Rob Kearney, Isaac Boss, Shane Jennings and Leinster captain Jamie Heaslip were on hand with a warm welcome as they chatted and signed jerseys.

The rugby club already have a relationship with another charity, Lakers Social and Recreational Club, but plan to

help more.

They unveiled a new process where charities can go online to www.leinsterrugby.ie/charitypartners and fill out an online request form to apply for support for their events on a once-off basis.

Leinster Rugby media manager Marcus O Buachalla said they had seen from the applications that they could help many other charities.
