Road closed after eight-car collision, traffic delays expected
A road has been closed off this afternoon after an eight-car collision.
Emergency services are attending the scene of the incident on the Katherine Tynan Road between the Belgard Road and Sylvan Drive.
A garda spokesman said the crash took place shortly after midday and the road was sealed off a short time later. At least eight cars were involved in the crash.
Three fire engines and advanced paramedics are attending the scene.
It is not believed that anyone was seriously hurt in the collision.
There were reports of traffic being heavy across the city - particularly on the quays and in and around the city centre earlier this morning as Prince Charles visited the capital.
