Revealed: Spar shop in Dublin city centre sold €9.5m winning Lotto ticket
IT turns out Conor McGregor wasn’t the only one celebrating a multi-million euro pay day over the weekend.
One lucky ticket owner has bagged €9.5m in last night’s National Lottery Draw.
The ticket was sold in the Spar Store on Talbot Street, Dublin 1, according to the National Lottery.
Owner of the lucky store on Talbot St, Ulrike Campbell said: “We just can’t believe it! This is an absolutely massive win for our customers. It’s an emotional win for me too as the store was opened 30 years ago by my father-in-law and I had been running it with my husband for 23 years who recently passed away.
"All of the staff here are going to enjoy the celebrations today and we send our best wishes to our lucky customer who is €9.4 million richer!”
The winning numbers were 1, 16, 17, 32, 34 and 35. The bonus number was 5.
With GAA fans from Kerry and Mayo flocking to the capital in their droves yesterday, the winner may not necessarily be a Dubliner, so make sure to check your numbers carefully.
Another winner matched five numbers and the bonus. They will collect a prize of €219,204. This lucky QuickPick ticket was purchased at the SuperValu store on the New Road in Kinsale, Co Cork.
The last Lotto jackpot was won on Wednesday, July 5 when a syndicate from the North East won the €6.4 million top prize with a ticket they purchased at Argue’s Service Station in Cootehill, Co Cavan.
