Pedestrian 'seriously injured' in rush hour collision

A pedestrian has been seriously injured when he was struck by a car during rush hour traffic.

The incident took place on the Ninth Lock Road in Clondaklin, Dublin.

A man (31) was struck by a car at approximately 8.10am on Tuesday.

He was brought to Tallaght Hospital where his injuries are thought to be "serious".

Gardai have closed off the road for a forensic examination.
