Pedestrian (31) hospitalised and 'seriously injured' after being struck by a car
A male pedestrian was seriously injured after he was struck by a car this morning.
The incident happened at around 8.15am on the Ninth Lock Road in west Dublin.
The injured man (31) was brought by ambulance to Tallaght Hospital, where he is understood to be in a serious condition.
The occupants of the car were uninjured in the incident.
The scene has been technically examined and the road has since reopened to traffic.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the incident or motorists who may have captured the incident on dash cam to come forward and assist them with their investigations.
