Leading Brexit campaigner Nigel Farage will be in Dublin in early 2018 to promote Irexit.

The former Ukip leader will be in Ireland to promote the idea that Ireland would be better off outside the European Union.

Irexit: Free to Prosper is set to take place in the RDS on September 3, 2018.

It will be led by a panel of speakers which include Farage, journalist John Waters, Independent councillor James Charity, Sunday Times columnist Cormac Lucey and a special guest moderator who has yet to be announced.

The event is being organised by Farage's parliamentary group, Europe of Freedom and Direct Democracy (EFDD).

The talk hopes to promote the belief that Ireland leaving the EU will solve the "looming border crisis, protect out trade with the UK, restore our fishing rights and protect the All Ireland peace process".
