'My heart is absolutely broken' - Fair City actress searching for lost phone with photos of late grandmother
A Fair City actress has launched a heartbreaking appeal for help locating her missing phone, with photos of her dead grandmother.
Amilia Clarke Stewart plays kidnapped Katy O'Brien in the popular soap.
Last night she took to Facebook to issue a heartbreaking appeal.
She wrote that she had lost her phone in Lanigan's bar on Eden Quay in Dublin City Centre on Saturday night. The actress is not concerned about the device itself going missing but is heartbroken because it contained pictures of her grandmother who has since died.
Speaking to Independent.ie Ms Stewart said her "heart is absolutely broken" and has even offered to pay a reward to have the phone returned.
Grandmother Mary Clarke died on Amilia's birthday in 2015 and important pictures were stored on the phone.
"All holiday pictures and pictures that really mean the world to me were on that phone and I am heartbroken that it's gone. The phone is pretty old so the pictures weren't backed up or anything. It's bashed up so would be of no use to anyone, would mean the world to get it back."
Earlier Ms Stewart issued an appeal on Facebook for help in her search for the smartphone.
She said: "Last night I lost my phone in Lanigans bar on Eden Quay. Its a cracked Samsung S4 and it's a piece of crap but all the pictures I have of my grandmother are on that phone who has since passed away and my heart is absolutely broken.
"Please please please help me get this phone back.
"I will even PAY A REWARD to get it back.
"ITS' NOT a phone anyone can sell on.
"Please help me get this phone back.
"They're all the pics I have of her."
Ms Stewart has had the nation at the edge of its seat since last May when she was kidnapped on Fair City by Ciaran, played by Johnny Ward.
