GARDAI do not suspect foul play in the discovery of a man’s body in a Cork shop.

The body of the man, who is in his 30s, was discovered in a shop in Blackpool shortly before 3pm.

His remains were found near a toilet and storage area by staff who immediately alerted Gardai and paramedics.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene with his body due to be transferred to Cork University Hospital (CUH) for a post mortem examination.

Gardai conducted a technical examination of the scene but stressed that their investigation will be determined by the post mortem findings and the results of toxicology tests.

Amongst the theories being considered is that the man may have died from natural causes or an accidental drugs overdose.
