Man who was found dead in Carlow last week identified

A man who was found dead in Carlow town last week has been identified.

The man was found unresponsive at Cox's Lane last Tuesday at around 9.05pm, he was subsequently pronounced dead.

Gardai said this morning that they "wish to thank the public and the media for their assistance in this matter."

The deceased is thought to be aged in his late 20s or early 30s. He is described as approximately 5’9” -5’10” in height with short black neatly cut hair and of dark complexion.

He was wearing a red, white and black t-shirt with the wording ‘MCKENZIE’ printed across the chest, grey tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.

He was also in possession of a dark ‘PUMA’ hooded top. A keychain with a number of keys were found in his possession.
