Man due to appear in court over arms seizure at industrial estate

A man is due to appear in court this morning charged in connection with a major arms seizure.

A total of 15 heavy-duty firearms, along with 1300 rounds of assorted ammunition and a substantial amount of cash was seized at Greenogue Industrial Estate in west Dublin last January.

Gardaí have confirmed that a 28-year-old man, arrested in Co Wexford on Sunday, will appear before Blanchardstown District Court this morning.

The man was arrested in Co.Wexford on Sunday, May 7 and detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007 at a west Dublin Garda Station.

He is the fourth person to be charged in the case. Three men are currently before the courts charged in connection with the investigation.
