Man (47) arrested in connection with death of elderly man in Clondalkin
A 47-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of a man (74) in Clondalkin on Friday night.
The man was arrested yesterday evening and is being detained at Lucan Garda Station.
The 74-year-old man, who was discovered at a house in Rowlagh Green, has been named locally as Anthony Timms.
At around 8.45pm gardai were called to a house at Rowlagh Green where a male had been injured.
It is believed that there was an earlier domestic dispute at the house.
The injured man (74) was taken to Tallaght Hospital and later pronounced dead.
A post mortem is scheduled to be carried out today by the State Pathologists Office at the City Mortuary which will determine the course of the investigation, however it is believed the man was assaulted.
