A 44-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder by detectives investigating the disappearance of a Co Tyrone woman two years ago.

Charlotte Murray was originally from Omagh but had been living Moy, Co Tyrone.

The 34-year-old was reported missing in May 2013 but had not been in contact with family or friends since October/November 2012.

Charlotte's family and police have previously made appeals for information about her whereabouts.

The arrest was made in County Antrim earlier today by detectives from Serious Crime Branch.

Detective Chief Inspector Gareth Talbot said: “Police enquiries over nearly two years give us grounds to believe that Charlotte may have been murdered.

"The suspect is to be interviewed in the Serious Crime Suite at Antrim.”
