Man (40s) 'abducted in broad daylight by three men' found three hours later

Gardai are appealing for witnesses following an alleged abduction of a man in broad daylight on a busy road.

A man - who was found three hours later - was allegedly taken on the Ardee-M1 link road in Co Louth on Tuesday evening.

The man, aged in his 40s, is said to physically shaken but otherwise unharmed.

It is understood that the man's car he was travelling in was forced to stop shortly after 5.30pm.

The man was reportedly then put into a grey Toyota Avensis in which three other men were travelling.

The man is not believed to be known to gardai.

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to contact Ardee Garda station on 041-6853222.
