Man (21) arrested as part of investigation into robbery at Carpenterstown shopping centre

A 21-year-old man has been arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into a robbery in Dublin 15.

Two men armed with a gun and a machete entered the shop in Carpenterstown Shopping Centre on February 16.

They threatened staff and customers, taking cash from the tills and personal property from a number of customers.

Both men left the scene of the robbery on foot.

Gardai from Blanchardstown Detective Unit arrested a 21-year-old man this morning in connection with the incident.

He is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Blanchardstown Garda Station.
