Male passenger (37) killed in two car road crash
A 37-year-old man has been killed following a crash in Co Tipperary yesterday evening.
The incident occurred at Tullaskeagh in Roscrea at approximately 7.30pm.
The man suffered serious injuries when the car he was travelling in as a passenger collided with another car.
He was taken to University Hospital Limerick where he was pronounced dead. A post mortem is to be arranged.
The driver of this car, aged in his early 70s, was taken to University Hospital Limerick with non serious injuries
The three occupants of the second car, all male, were also taken to hospital where their injuries are described as non serious.
The R445 West bound carriageway, (old N7) is currently closed at the Knock Road junction, Tullaskeagh to facilitate forensic examinations and diversions are currently in place.
