A male cyclist has been killed in a collision with a lorry on the main Dublin to Belfast road in Co Down.
The fatal crash happened just before 7am on the A1 between Dromore and Hillsborough.
The arterial route was closed in both directions between the villages as emergency services attended the scene.
A PSNI spokeswoman said: "Police can confirm a man has died following a serious collision which occurred just before 7am involving a lorry and cyclist."
The road has since re-opened.
The death brings to 70 the number of people killed on the roads in Northern Ireland this year.
There were 57 road deaths in the region for the whole of 2013.
This morning's crash came less than 24 hours after an eight-year-old boy died after being knocked down by a car on the morning school run.
