Investigation launched after man's body found on Irish beach

An investigation has been launched after the discovery of a man's body on Bray Beach in Co Wicklow.

Gardai are appealing for information after the man's remains were found on the beach on Monday.

The body is described as being that of a white male, approximately early 40’s, blue eyes, very slim build, with dark brown hair greying around the temple.

He was 6’1” in height and weighed 60.1kg (9.4 stone).

He had no marks or tattoos.

The man was wearing a green and brown camouflage jacket, blue jeans and black runner boots.

There was also a brown and green camouflage rucksack with him and there were glasses in his bag.
