Investigation following the death of man (40s) today
Gardaí are investigating the death of a man in his early 40s in Co Cork today.
Officers have sealed off two homes in the Manor Hills Estate, Rathcormac following the discovery of the man's body shortly before 11am.
A post-mortem will now be carried out on the body of the man, believed to be originally from east Europe, by the state pathologist.
The direction of the investigation will be dependent on the outcome of this examination.
Gardaí do not suspect foul play but officers are said to be "keeping an open mind" about the incident.
The man is believed to have suffered injuries consistent with a fall.
