Independent News & Media (INM) has announced that David Harrison has stood down as a director after five years with the company. The Dermot Desmond nominated director was elected to the board of INM as a non-executive director in 2012.

INM's Chairman, Leslie Buckley, said "On behalf of the Company and the Board, I wish to express my sincere gratitude to David for his extremely valuable and positive contribution to INM over the last five years. His support and dedication has been invaluable during this transformative period for the business."

The company is in the process of appointing candidates to fill a number of vacancies, including to replace the former senior non-executive director Jerome Kennedy who stood down earlier in the year.
