Contraband cigarettes worth more than €408,000 have been seized by Revenue officers.

Revenue personnel, assisted by detector dog Elvis, discovered the illegal cigarettes at a business in Co Meath yesterday.

The 'Jim' branded cigarettes have an estimated retail value of €408,000 and represent a potential loss of over €299,000 to the Exchequer.
