'I can't eat. I can't sleep... please bring him home' - Distraught mother pleads for safe return of missing son (31)
A 31-year-old man who disappeared at the end of last month told his heartbroken mother that he would "be back in half an hour".
Dean Roche left his mother Geraldine's home in Kilkenny on Sunday, March 22 to purchase a new car and hasn't been seen since.
While his new vehicle was found crashed near to the site in Ballybofey where he bought it, Dean was nowhere to be found.
Grief stricken Geraldine (57) has now issued a heartfelt appeal for information that may help locate her son.
"Please, please, please bring him home, someone out there must know something," she told the Irish Daily Mirror last night.
"I'm dying here every day wondering what happened to him because it's not in his nature to stay away from home even one night."
Father-of-one Dean had been living with his mother in her home just outside Kilkenny city since the break up of his relationship with the mother of his 10-year-old son Jamie.
Geraldine has said that his prolonged absence is extremely out of character and she "still has his Easter egg" waiting for him.
Dean's Cork-based father has made regular trips to Kilkenny in an effort to source new information that will lead to the safe return of his son.
Dean has been described as being 5’ 8’’ tall, of slight build, with green eyes and short brown hair.
When last seen he was wearing a black zip up tracksuit top and bottoms with white runners.
Anyone who has seen Dean or who can assist is locating him has been asked to contact Kilkenny Garda Station on 056 7775000, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
