Guns, ammunition and suspected drugs have been seized during a raid in north Dublin.
Gardai said members of the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau carried out a number of searches in the Finglas area today as a result of an intelligence led operation.
Two men, aged 18 and 44 years, were arrested.
"During the course of the search gardaí seized three firearms, ammunition and a quantity of powder like substance and tablets which are all subject to analysis," said a Garda spokesman.
The suspects are currently detained at Finglas and Ballymun Garda Stations pursuant to section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 as amended.
Investigations are ongoing.
"These operations use advanced analytical and intelligence methods to disrupt criminals and dismantle their networks," gardai added.
"Drug seizures play a critical role in targeting the livelihood of criminals and reducing their ability to carry out illegal activities.
"Drug seizures also help protect communities from the devastating impact of drugs and the associated criminality."
